SCC Antigen (Squamous Cell Carcinoma Antigen) has greatest utility in monitoring squamous cell carcinoma. SCC Ag blood levels, regardless of value, should not be interpreted as absolute evidence for the presence or absence of malignant disease. In patients with suspected or known cancer, other tests and procedures must also be considered for diagnosis and good management.
